Realme on Friday launched the cheapest version of its existing Realme 8 5G smartphone. India is getting the Realme 8 5G version with 4GB RAM + 64GB, which is Rs 1,000 less than the previously released 4GB RAM + 128GB version.
The recently released Realme 8 5G 4GB RAM + 64GB storage costs Rs 13,999. The first sales of the smartphone model are scheduled for May 18 on the Realme and Flipkart websites. For the initial sale, the smartphone maker announced a 10% cashback offering of up to Rs 200 for MobiKwik payments and Rs 75 for Freecharge payments.
So far, the Realme 8 5G has been available in two versions including 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage, priced at Rs 14,999 and 16,999, respectively. Both of these models are also sold on the Realme website as well as the Flipkart e-commerce website.
Realme 8 5G specifications
Aside from RAM and storage, the rest of the specs of the Realme 8 5G remain the same as the other two models.
In terms of specs, the Realme 8 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD + LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a hole punch notch and a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot to help expand storage even further. The phone runs Android 11 with a custom Realme UI 2.0 skin on top.
In terms of cameras, the Realme 8 5G features a triple camera setup on the back, including a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The front of the phone has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies and video chats.
The Realme 8 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. There is also a side fingerprint sensor for security.
