Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72, and Galaxy A52 5G at Galaxy Awesome Unpacked in March. The first two devices arrived in India in the same month. However, the latter did not hit the cut. But now it looks like the Galaxy A52 5G will still arrive in India.
Samsung has begun developing firmware for the Indian variant of the Galaxy A52 5G. This version of the smartphone will ship with model number SM-A526B. For those who don’t know, the regular Galaxy A52 sold in India has the model number SM-A525F.
But, unfortunately, the timing of the launch of this phone in the country remains a mystery at the moment. In terms of pricing, we can expect it to be between the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 as there is a huge price difference between the two.
Speaking of specs, the Galaxy A52 5G differs from the vanilla Galaxy A52 in three ways. The former is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, has a 120Hz display and supports 5G connectivity. On the other hand, the latter has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, a 90Hz display and 4G connectivity.
This is not the first time Samsung has brought a variant of an existing 5G model to India. Most recently, the South Korean tech giant unveiled the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the country six months after its initial release to global markets.
